call before you burn

Always call before you burn. If we receive a call from someone passing by reporting your fire, dispatch can call and check to see if your burn is still under control. If it gets out of control our response time is shortened since we already know your location.

controlled burns

One of the greatest offensive tools in fire prevention is prescribed agricultural burning. Controlled burns are carried out by trained individuals under very specific weather conditions with adequate personnel and equipment. You may request our assistance when burning volatile overgrowth on your property. There is no charge for this service however we appreciate donations.

Fire suppression

TVFD operates out of two locations. The main Tarpley station is located on the grounds with the pavilion and the Haner Community Center. To improve response times in the west end of our territory, we operate a smaller substation in Rio Hondo.
