Who we are

The Tarpley Volunteer Fire Department is a 501(c)3 non-profit fire and emergency services organization serving the community of Tarpley and the surrounding area known as Hondo Canyon. This 100% volunteer department provides fire, EMS first response, technical rescue, and assorted emergency services to our area frequently assisting other local fire departments in Bandera, Medina and Uvalde counties. The TVFD relies solely on donations and money raised from our annual Barbecue, Raffle, and Auction that takes place every year on Labor day weekend. Like most of the departments in Bandera County, we receive only a small amount of money from the county to assist with the purchase of medical supplies each year. Aside from that, no money is received from any governmental organizations to aid in or maintain day to day operations.
